Police arrests man who threatened to kill a lady, recovers gun from him

 The Police Operatives connected to the Denton Division of the Lagos State Police Command have captured a man who undermined a lady's life. 



Omotayo Olaiya was arrested after the police got an objection from Mrs Olatunji Shakirat Mayo. 


Mrs Mayo told the police on Monday, May 3, that Olaiya took steps to kill her with a weapon inside the Ansarudeen Mosque, situated at no 72-74, Bola Street, Ebute-Metta Lagos.

On the strength of the protest, a Surveillance Team was nitty gritty to find the suspect and he was at last arrested, the Lagos State Police PRO, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi said in a proclamation. 


A brownie gun and one Motorola walkie-talkie were recuperated from the suspect.


Upon cross examination, the suspect admitted that he purchased the gun from a man named Taiwo, dwelling at the Ikorodun space of Lagos State in November 2020, at the pace of 80,000 Naira (80,000). 




The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, has requested that the case be moved to the Command's Special Squad, Ikeja, for appropriate examination and capture of different guilty parties regarding the instance of unlawful ownership of guns and danger to life of the complainant.
